From January 24th to 26th, I went on a tour to Yamaguchi Prefecture 🛫
Our main objective was the battleship Mutsu, which sank due to an accident during the war!!
At last year's Marine Diving Fair, a local representative was there, and I gathered members who were interested ♪
The first day had no diving, so we toured the surrounding area by rental car 🚙
Our destination was"Suo Oshima"
where the"Mutsu Memorial Museum" is located.
Just before the entrance, the anchor of the Mutsu is displayed prominently.
Inside the museum, there were artifacts from the time it was salvaged.
Outside, a 14cm secondary gun and a propeller were on display.
Even for a secondary gun, it's huge!
Next up after the Mutsu Memorial Museum was a bright red torii gate on the beach.
I went a bit late in the day, so I was lucky to have it almost all to myself 😊
For dinner, we had "Mikan Nabe" at an island restaurant.
Are there really 🍊 mandarins 🍊 in there?!
I ate the 🍊 skin and all 😀
It also had mikan-kosho (mandarin pepper paste) instead of yuzu-kosho, so
it was a different kind of hot pot than usual, and it warmed me up perfectly ✌
