After an hour's boat ride, we finally met the battleship Mutsu.

This is the sea part of the Yamaguchi tour.
This time we dived the battleship Mutsu 🚢
It sank due to an explosion during the war, and salvage operations were carried out after the war.
Therefore, what remains today is from the bridge to around the first turret.
We dived these two spots twice each, for a total of four dives 🫧🫧
After descending 14m for the first time,
we arrived at the port side of the Mutsu!
As we went deeper, we saw something like a window?
Here, you can still recognize it as a ship 💡
Going further down...
The visibility became so low that a light was essential 💦
Original items still remained on the collapsed hull.
This is a bathtub 🛀
And here's a toilet.
There were also dishes.
At a depth of 40m, we saw something like a culvert.
It was the Mutsu's 40cm main gun 🔫
It's said to be 18m long, and even though we were told we were going to see the main gun, it took a while to notice it 💦
And this is the rangefinder that was impaled.

There were a lot of valves.
Back on the boat, we reconfirmed what we had just seen.
With recreational diving on a single tank, the range you can explore is limited, but with technical diving, you can see a wider area inside the ship, so it's recommended.
After the dive, we went sightseeing in the vicinity until Shinkansen time.
It was a pretty challenging dive,
but it was a valuable experience ✨✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
