Surprisingly quiet?

Ishigaki Island was rainy all day today

It seems that Ishigaki Island entered the rainy season a little early, so it might get a bit humid from now on

But the arrival of the rainy season means summer is just around the corner

 

 

Anyway, we set sail today too!

 

 

 

 

S2CLUB Ishigaki Island is still buzzing with activity!

Today's forecast was for northerly winds, but it was surprisingly calm...?

 

 

While it was calm, we decided to go for it.

 

 

 

 

Out reef!

We started by exploring the topography!

 

 

 

 

The water was a bit dark, but visibility improved!

 

 

 

 

 

Anthias fish swam around the dynamic topography like cherry blossom petals fluttering down

 

 

 

 

 

This year, their numbers didn't decrease even in winter, so it looks like it's going to be a very spectacular summer

 

After that, we returned to the inner reef to relax.

 

 

 

 

It's a leisurely stroll over the coral

 

 

 

 

 

The corals are growing fast now.

I hope they survive this summer!

 

 

 

 

Of course, the Ryukyu star corals are a must-see!

 

 

 

 

 

You really should take a stroll over this at least once!

 

 

 

 

 

And finally, we switched gears to macro photography!

 

 

 

 

Wow!

A collaboration between the Minami Aomoi and the Kusairo!

 

A hot collaboration of popular sea slugs!

 

 

 

 

And then there's the classic Iriomote-chan,

 

 

 

 

and the Hime-ika-chan during feeding time!

The macro point is super hot right now!

 

There's also a huge outbreak of sea slugs, so even after diving for many minutes, there's not enough time to see everything

 

 

So, we had a fulfilling three dives today!

 

 

Tomorrow's weather is still a bit iffy...

I hope it calms down
