The once-a-year underwater battle! Are strategy and teamwork the keys to victory?

This is Miiman.
The rainy season is almost here in Kanto. The weather has been like that lately.
So, last weekend, I went to an event!
UOUO WARS is held every June in Koganezaki
This is S2's second time participating!
The pre-event strategy meeting is quite important
The rule is to return within 1 hour. If the dive time exceeds 45 minutes, you are disqualified.
There are also other disqualification conditions such as remaining pressure below 50, depth exceeding 16m, losing sight of the group, and so on.
Within these rules, you have to photograph the fish listed on a given list!
Rare fish do not necessarily score high! This is also an interesting point
This time, the strategy was for Miiman to find the fish and for everyone else to photograph them.
This was quite something, too, lol.
I was so engrossed in searching that even when I found something and tried to point it out, everyone was looking in different directions, lol.
Teamwork is also important.
Just take pictures
Of course, you have to take pictures so they can be clearly identified, otherwise it's no good, lol.
It's also great to learn the names of fish you usually see but don't know the names of on this occasion!
If you just randomly take pictures, you won't earn points for fish not on the list
Some fish on the list are hard to find during this season... .
45 minutes flew by!
We successfully returned within the time limit!
There were 18 teams entered this time (probably).
Among them were several teams of veteran shops who are regular champions 🥇🏆.
From the strategy meeting, their dedication was just different, lol.
They even decided their swimming formation! These are true warriors.
Because the first prize is 50,000 yen in cash
That certainly gets them fired up, lol.
We submitted our self-assessment within an hour and waited for the results.
While harboring the big dream of "What if we got first place?🤣", we headed off for a fun dive.
The sea was calm that day, and the water temperature was 22℃!
It was a fun dive with lots of fish (More on that in the next blog)
Everyone participated in wetsuits!
Miiman was a little cold
I wonder if I should switch back to a drysuit again
So, there's that!
We were all excited thinking, "If we get first place, let's go for yakiniku."
S2CLUB got 12th place🤣
Not last, but 12th place, lol.
Yes, 12th out of 18 teams.
Participants received a prize lottery from the manufacturers!
All S2 team members avoided losing and got a prize!
And so, UOUO WARS!
To all participants, let's challenge again next year as UOUO veterans!
Actually, there's a pre-event day before the main competition.
Next year, I want to study and then challenge! Aim for 1st place, aim for 50,000 yen GET
