The northeast winds were howling, so I stuck with Ose and went on a camera dive!
Hello everyone! It's Mei \\\\٩( 'ω' )و //// I'm currently on a sake brewery tour! But I've been at the beach since Saturday! Consecutive days! So sleepy! So, after dinner on the first day, I'm having a drink in my room, but I'm in my single room creating a blog 🤣 The internet connection isn't very good, so it keeps freezing, and I'm super frustrated 😡💦 I'll try my best to finish scheduling this post and then go to sleep... Anyway, on Saturday, I went to Osezaki for a camera tour.
Currently, there are many seaweeds growing underwater, and there are creatures in them, so it's fun, but it makes my eyes ache! LOL
And the ones I find are too niche, so I only photograph them myself and show the guests common creatures.
This time, the main subject was this tiny colorful frogfish.
It was a very small one,
approximately 1.3cm. The surrounding seaweed was in the way, so I couldn't get a good shot of its face.
Nearby, there was a pair of pipefish in a rope tangle. These two were thicker than any I'd ever seen before. I see small ones in the summer, so are these overwintering...? The water temperature is 16-17 degrees, so it hasn't dropped that much.
Currently, there are three individual giant frogfish in the bay? Two on the new artificial reef, and this one near the Maiden statue's artificial reef. They are all quite large and robust.
Next to it was a palm-sized Miyako sea slug. I wish I could see a cute rice-grain-sized sea slug... lol
It seems the guests saw a flounder during their free time.
I also saw a common octopus during my free time. When I slowly approached it and stared it down, it hid when the guests arrived. It's a bit shy, isn't it?
The star pufferfish weren't schooling at this time. When I approached one that had fallen on the sandy bottom,
it was badly injured 😭 Now, I hear there are huge schools again in the afternoon and night dives, and it's super exciting, so I really want to make time to go... But I've already submitted my shifts, so it's tough 😞
This scorpionfish cleverly camouflaged itself as a seashell, and I almost bumped into it at first. There are white, smooth ones, and cool ones like this one with lots of skin flaps,
so scorpionfish are interesting! That's how I enjoyed 2 dives! Well, I fell asleep a few times and then took a bath to wake up, which took quite a bit of time, so I'll end here! Look forward to Tatsu-san's blog for details on the tour ✌️ See ya~
