2026 has begun!
How did everyone spend their New Year's Eve?
As for me, I flew straight to my wife's hometown, Yamagata! 🛫
As I was looking at all sorts of novel local signboards, I saw one that made me go...
"Huh!?"

My mind was completely blank. ????
I had someone translate it for me later, but I'm still not convinced (# ﾟДﾟ)
I wonder if anyone knows what it says?
I was worried about snow, but when I arrived, there was almost no snow. 
In the fields, swans were gleaning fallen grains. 🦢
But that was short-lived, as snow started piling up heavily right at New Year's Eve. ⛄
In no time, it was a silver world! ✨✨✨
When I went for a walk towards the mountains, I fell into a drainage ditch trap buried in the snow. 
I trekked through the fresh snow on uncharted paths and got all excited, but then my whole body ached. 
When I got hungry from the cold and the unfamiliar snow, I headed to the local famous restaurant "Ken-chan Ramen."
For several years now, I'd heard various scary rumors and was curious, so I finally decided to give it a try!
It had a unique flavor, like a sudden mutation of classic Chinese ramen into a Jiro-kei style. 🍜
Ramen in this area is usually served with a regular size equivalent to a large portion in Tokyo, which is great for hungry people!
Nevertheless, I've been eating and sleeping, so my weight is probably increasing...
I need to get moving and whip my out-of-shape body into gear!
