After 10 years... at last! The long-awaited achiever has appeared!! (That thing hasn't been confirmed yet)
Good evening everyone! Mei here ('◇')ゞ On Sunday, we went to Ajiro for the first time in ages!
It's a boat diving spot, but as you can see, we board the boat on land with the divers already on, and then plop into the ocean! Is this kind of facility available because the main purpose isn't diving, but rather a boat marina? Now, what was it like underwater...?
Altman's Ghost Shrimp. It was scurrying away from me, a human it rarely encounters, lol.
A cute little Razorfish.
The usual see-through shrimp. Next time I'll ask the members of "Henkai Club ♣" (which are our instructors who love marine life!) what this is. You might be thinking, "Aren't these all small creatures?" Or "Is this a macro point?" Half right, half wrong. When I held up my wide-angle camera,
Wow! It's GREEN! Lol. The visibility dropped the day before, so we couldn't see anything... Maybe 1-2 meters. Since I couldn't see underwater, we could only play within about a 5-meter radius from the descent buoy (scared of getting lost).
Even with this limited visibility, since it's a spot where people don't usually go, the marine life was really good... I bet it would be incredibly beautiful if the visibility was better! The wind was a bit bad, and the surface was choppy. When I was getting back on the boat after the first dive, I made a weird landing and hurt my foot... 😢 But even though it hurt a bit, I could walk, and with 7 guests and this visibility, not diving wasn't an option! So of course, we went for the second dive too! ☆
Izu divers, boldly taking a group photo in this kind of visibility. Even though the picture isn't great, everyone burst out laughing when they saw it at the restaurant, saying it was good! We didn't get lost and had fun together, and we got a good souvenir photo. ^^
And I also did a good job!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I shouted like Sunshine Ikezaki when I saw him in Shiretoko, Hokkaido.
What a cute little guy. While everyone was calling, Patty, who had arrived earlier and was observing, called out.
That's right! If there's one, you expect another! You're amazing for finding it! As expected! So we observed two pygmy seahorses at a depth of 23m, barely able to tolerate the nitrogen buildup, before ascending for a safety stop. For the second dive, we had a thorough discussion before getting on the boat, so I think I was able to take off my fins more smoothly than the first dive. (I guess I need to strengthen my arm muscles a bit more...)
We had dinner and got our stamps. Congratulations on completing the point rally!! There have been various changes, such as points that we couldn't enter or access (and some extremely difficult to reach), but a huge round of applause to these two for purely completing almost all points + α! By the way, the lovely gift has been shortlisted, but the cabinet decision is stalled, so please wait just a little longer... And finally, I have to apologize to everyone. I am truly, deeply sorry. The foot I wrote about hurting. I could walk, I could dive, FIN kicking was a bit tough, but I took off my fins by myself. I thought, "Well, I probably just strained a tendon!" That's what I said. I went to the hospital properly on Monday.
Turns out I fractured my left foot. I was surprised too. "Huh? Is it broken?"
Well, after some time passed, it swelled quite a bit, but I don't have ankles anyway, lol ( ´艸`) It's hard to tell on the top of the foot. It was such a shock that I forgot to get the CT scan for the blog, so I'll get it next time and post it with my healed foot! If the bone doesn't heal well, there's something called the Lisfranc ligament, and apparently the bone there is detached? So it might require surgery~. No, doctor, I beg you... absolutely not! So, I'm truly sorry, but not only can I not dive for a while, but I was also told not to put weight on my foot, so I'm crawling around the house. I'm quietly planning tours at home. My part-time job is completely on hold, and my plans for diving work are gone. Furthermore, I only went to the hospital to get a cast, but crutches rubbed against my palm and gave me blisters, so I've lost heart about going out. All tickets for my favorite artist's live show announced today were rejected, and I couldn't go to next week's offline meeting even though I had tickets because of the fracture (I cried while reselling them). Despite being in such a slump, I'm really looking forward to the planned tours! All I have to do is contact the participants if I can get plane tickets, and several people have already expressed interest in the Okinawa tour! I'll take a good rest, let my bone heal, and then I'll be back, so I apologize for the inconvenience until then, but please come to lots of tours! That's all for today!
Responsible: Matsumoto Mei!(^^)!
You'll definitely be moved and healed by the crystal-clear waters that rival resort oceans!
