I don't have any photos or videos, but that's how hard (desperately) I practiced! lol
Hi everyone! This is Mei \\\\٩( 'ω' )و //// Today I was going to talk about the ocean we went to with Tatsusan the other day, but there are absolutely no underwater photos... That's because this day
started out nice and sunny, then turned cloudy with a light drizzle, but it was actually a practice tour for the drift ice tour scheduled for next month! I wish I had at least taken a picture of the inner layers I wore 😭 To dive in a world of sub-zero water temperatures, you wear a lot of inner layers, and this dive was to adjust the weights needed for that. We all put on so many layers that we couldn't even lower our arms, lol. Our basic weight was 12kg, lol. I'll make sure to take lots of photos and videos of the actual tour! As for how far the drift ice tour goes,
it's about 1600km from Tokyo! How far is that in a straight line? This is the distance Google Maps told me for land travel. About 22 hours (without breaks, lol). Of course, we'll fly, but we'll also take a bus to get to the local area^^
My high school class trip was to Hokkaido, and it wasn't Sapporo, but somewhere between Abashiri and Kushiro, so I kind of remember it?? It was February, and because of the Sapporo Snow Festival, our class trip to Sapporo was rejected! Lol. Sapporo, where I traveled two years ago, is this far away.
We'll probably be diving north of the Shiretoko Peninsula, where the drift ice comes from? Lol. The number of participants increased, and I get to go too, but I'm a little worried since Toyama is the coldest place. But I'm several times more excited! The places I vaguely remember from my class trip are: ・Abashiri Prison (I understand they had to include something educational, but it was a somber place 😅) ・Lake Mashu (I remember not being able to see anything due to fog, perhaps because of temperature differences) ・Ainu Kotan (We stayed at a hotel near here, so we could freely go buy souvenirs!) I also had ski training, but where was that? The beginner team didn't use chairlifts, but a system where you grabbed onto a rope and went up the slope, so my arms hurt so much, and I really hated going up repeatedly. The skiing itself wasn't difficult, but it made me hate it lol 🤣 On this tour, I'm really looking forward to eating delicious food and seeing what the world beneath the drift ice is like! It's next month, so look forward to the tour blog!

You'll definitely be moved and healed by the clear underwater world, which is just as beautiful as resort seas!
