Let's practice our buoyancy this summer and take some great group photos!
Good evening, everyone! Mei here \\\\٩( 'ω' )و //// I was a hermit again today. My doctor asked me to come in one last time before the Golden Week holidays start tomorrow, so I'm planning to wipe my feet as thoroughly as possible after my bath tonight. M-ko-san came over on Monday and gave me lots of wet wipes ♡ Last time I broke my big toe and had my nail ripped off, it stank unbelievably lol That time I couldn't wash my toenail, so it was even worse 😅 Anyway, at home I've been working on the HP and calculating tour plans, but
my back was hurting from sitting on the floor, so I moved my desk and chair and now it's much more comfortable ✌️ The chair has casters, so it's perfect for moving around the room, but the desk was heavy ~ It feels strange if my legs are down for too long, so I'm taking breaks ☕️ It's not painful, but it feels tingly or prickly? Like after sitting seiza style ~ I don't really understand, so I'll ask the doctor tomorrow. Once I recover, or rather, whenever you feel like it, please! I'd like to do some special training: let's practice neutral buoyancy more!
When taking group photos, we sometimes kick up silt and the photos don't turn out well... Or after taking a picture of a creature, we stir up a cloud of sand... When you stir up silt, it reflects light and debris appears in the photos like this. Keep the proverb "A bird leaves no trace" in mind. Treat your body, from your fingertips to the tips of your fins, as one! Most people don't notice if something bumps into their fins. Not noticing stirring up silt = not noticing if you kick someone! Are there any creatures or plants where your hands or body might touch? When approaching a creature to photograph, if you get too close to where someone else is taking a picture, the creature might flee or change direction, so check if there are other photographers around.
Let's all train together and learn things like "this is better in this situation" or "approaching from this position is good." It's not just about getting a good picture! Let's become the best Izu divers by being considerate of the marine environment, our team, and other divers! We'll also practice handling troubles and how to deploy a signal buoy, which we haven't done in a while! There are many accidents, so I hope we can enjoy playing and training again!
Beyond that, if we can encounter unknown creatures like these or beautiful scenery, that would be amazing, wouldn't it? ♡ Ah, I want to get better soon and see you all again. The Yamato Nankai starfish... A large, rare starfish that can be seen even in the deep sea ⭐︎ I should be able to dive around the end of June, so everyone, please join us for a rehabilitation dive! 🥹
