The Sea Now! Live updates from Izu ♪ May edition

What are you all doing for Golden Week? Our Golden Week overnight tour starts tomorrow! 
Last year, for the first time in several years, the arrival of spring really hit me hard. 
This year, please, sea god, go a little easier on me. 
The sea in May is 
It's looking good right now! 
It's spring, but the visibility is great!
I hope the transparency continues. 
The water temperature is currently 
18-19℃.
It's about 1℃ warmer than usual for this time of year, perhaps?
Current innerwear information: Miiman's TUSA drysuit innerwear (top and bottom)
and thick socks. I don't need to use heat packs for dives around 40 minutes, as long as they're not long dives.
I always wear a hood, of course. It's warm outside, and when it exceeds 20℃ during the day, it's warm enough to sweat. 
Since the air temperature and water temperature have reversed, if you dress lightly based on the warmth on land, it will be cold underwater!
What we need to be careful of now is the problem of getting cold from sweat. If you sweat during the break between the first and second dives,
take off your innerwear and let it dry during the break to get rid of the moisture, and you'll be comfortable for the second dive too.
As for the fish right now:
Quite a few rare creatures have been appearing in Izu.
We've seen the Metasepia pfefferi at Ida, Koganezaki, and even Hirasawa recently!
It's surprising to see so many of them, even though they're not usually found in Izu. 
There are also reports of very small pygmy seahorses in various places.
Finding this one requires a full dive of careful searching, so if you like observing marine life, definitely give it a try!
Speaking of seasonal things, word has it that the spawning grounds for bigfin reef squid have been set up at various points in Izu!
Spawning seems to have already started in some places! You definitely don't want to miss Izu's unique underwater cycle.
The season lasts until around mid-June!
