I finally went to the juvenile fish aquarium after getting a request for it!
Hello everyone! It's Mei ('◇')ゞ Sad news... I was in a hurry Saturday morning, and when I bent down to get my shoes at the entrance, I got a stiff back... It's Sunday afternoon now, not much has changed but I can walk, so I should be fine soon! LOL Anyway, at the end of January, when I was still full of energy, I went to the sea and then to the Juvenile Fish Aquarium! I'll be introducing the exciting frogfish series! Udayan should be uploading a blog about that day soon! 
What got me really excited this time was this Pygmy Anglerfish! I've never seen one underwater, and I haven't heard much about them in the Izu Peninsula. 
Here's the difference between them and regular frogfish. 
By the way, this is what a frogfish's body looks like! 
You can see how different it is compared to the Red Anglerfish that was in the same tank! 
It's important to take cute pictures, but it's also important to take clear pictures of the distinctive features to identify the species ✌ 
And although it's not a live specimen, what got me really excited was the Mimic Frogfish! It's high on my list of creatures I'd like to see someday~ 
It's a creature that would blow your mind if you saw it underwater, but information about it occasionally appears in Koganezaki, so if the timing is right... Anyway, these niche aquariums display the creatures in a way that makes them easy to see and are so much fun! If you dive at a nearby point in West Izu, you can enjoy it without getting late at all, so I look forward to your requests!
