March always makes me feel a bit restless.
I've personally been quite busy with various things.
I really want to take a relaxing trip and go to a hot spring♨️
Anyway, last weekend I went for an advanced training course!
S-chan is still diligently working on stepping up her skills
And as before, her support team was
Raoh & Ta-san.
I remember the water temperature only dropping to 16℃ last year, but this year it's in the high 14s even in Izu.
Is it because of that?!
The sea in the West Izu area is showing signs of spring...
Combined with the low pressure system, the wind direction forecast keeps changing, which is quite troublesome
But we'll still dive energetically!
This time, we warmed up with a naturalist dive.
While observing the ecosystem
we observed the creatures without causing any damage to the ocean.
We'll look at seaweed and other creatures too!
The culmination of the advanced course is compass navigation!
The visibility was perfect for compass navigation
This is truly rewarding😅
Measuring kick cycles,
we drew a square.
S-chan is a quick learner, she smoothly drew the square
and almost returned to the original spot
It started raining in the afternoon☂️, but she worked hard despite the cold.
She successfully passed the advanced course
Then we warmed our chilled bodies with some spice.
Lunch was Indian curry!
I really want to show her the clear visibility in Izu!
From now on, please let me guide you to many wonderful seas.
Next, we plan to do our first boat dive in May
I hope the visibility is good.
